Pastoral Care / Hospital Chaplaincy
Caring for the sick was one of Jesus' priorities. In solidarity with our sick brothers and sisters, confreres are assigned as chaplains to answer the spiritual and psychological needs of the patients at the Divine Word Hospital in Tacloban City.
For the past sixty (60) years, the Society of the Divine Word (SVD) Fathers and the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing have been extending pastoral care to patients confined at the ICUs for their spiritual needs, such as counseling and administering the sacraments of confession, Holy Communion, anointing of the sick, and blessing of the sick and dead.
Our chapel is always open for prayer and quiet reflection. It is located at the DWH Main Building, 3rd floor.

Regular Schedule of Services
- Monday - 8:00 AM: Morning Praise, Main Lobby
- Wednesday - 12:00 NN: Holy Mass, Chapel
- Sunday - 6:00 AM: Holy Mass, Chapel
